GraderLogic™ uses the same proven unique, task-driven approach to operator training as our award winning TruckLogic™ and DozerLogic™ curricula. It again integrates web-based training; a simulator if you have one, and structured on-the-job training aids to help ensure trainee knowledge retention. In addition, we added a new tool - task model videos are again used in this training to allow the trainee to have a bird's-eye view of an experienced grader operator performing tasks. This unique design helps your mine reach new levels of productivity and safety while training new and experienced grader operators. During a GraderLogic™ train-the-trainer session, we help you deploy a training methodology that can be delivered faster, with more consistency and at a lower cost than traditional instructor-led and on-the-job training.

GraderLogic™ includes:

  • 11 eLearning training lessons contain almost 500 screens of interactive, multimedia-enhanced content, which provide in-depth training in basic operating principles, best practices and potential problem scenarios.

  • Embedded "Check Your Knowledge" quizzes 81 questions measure what each student has learned. Test results can be stored in a learning management system and used to tailor coaching to each individual trainee.

  • Simulator integration: The ability to add affordable customized wrap around training for your simulator, if you have one. VISTA has designed GraderLogic™ training to be integrated with simulators to help the operator gain experience in the core skills of operating in a safe environment.

  • Task model videos are used because the coach cannot ride along in a grader like they would in a haul truck. These videos have been designed to give the trainee both an in-the-cab and bird's eye view of the tasks being done by an experienced grader operator.

  • On-the-job training (OJT) materials: Structured activities reinforce what trainees have learned in the online learning sessions. The field trainer versions of these OJT tools contain checklists and space for recording notes and operator assessments.

  • Laminated diagrams: Laminated diagrams of grader control layouts and pre-use inspection steps help operators retain what they've learned.

All of the elements of this training curriculum have been instructionally designed to meet the needs of adult learners. The blended learning model employed by GraderLogic™ helps your new grader operator retain more of what they've learned. That, in turn, means less retraining in the field and faster onboarding.

How does your existing operator-training program compare?

Traditional classroom training is no longer adequate to meet the needs of operators of today's sophisticated tasks of a grader.
