MINE PRODUCTION ANALYSIS
Mine operations now utilize VISTA as a 3rd party evaluator of their equipment operators. Our goal is to provide high quality mine operations assessments and related valuable data to improve operator skills, improve safety and productivity, and to reduce equipment maintenance costs. In the end, our service should cost you nothing and improve your bottom line.
OPERATOR EVALUATION SERVICES
VISTA can provide you with skills evaluations of your shovel, drill and other equipment operators. During the evaluation, operator skills assessments are taken on over 30 different operating points. Any deficiencies are noted and then targeted for improvement.
A productivity time analysis is also conducted with measurements taken of dig cycle time, dipper fill time, hang time, truck spotting time, move time, mechanical and electrical down time, and any miscellaneous delay time. This time analysis provides the mine with valuable information that will allow you to best utilize your fleet.
REPORTING SERVICES
Once all skills and time analysis information is gathered, an initial report is developed that includes preliminary recommendations to the mine management. This is provided to you prior to our instructor(s) leaving the mine-site so that important action items can be addressed immediately. A final report is then completed at our main office and delivered within 1-2 weeks after the completion of the operator training and/or evaluations.
HANDS ON INSTRUCTION and TRAINING
Once the operators receive their evaluation, our instructor(s) can provide additional hands-on instruction. Based upon the evaluations, areas for improvement are targeted and our instructor(s) will assist them to improve their operating skills.
