VISTA International Division
VISTA Training offers international vocational and heavy equipment training and certification, via its recent acquisition of HeviCert, Inc. It has developed a comprehensive training curriculum and has implemented vocational training in the United States, Estonia, Kosovo, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine. It is certified to train and administer National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) crane operator tests.
HeviCert has become a division within VISTA Training, where its customers now have access to an expanded menu of training resources and expertise. In addition, the acquisition gives VISTA Training expanded access to international markets where it can offer its innovative training solutions. VISTA Training plans to offer vocational training worldwide under the new HeviTrain brand name, and certification services will be marketed under the HeviCert name.
HeviTrain training services
HeviTrain offers a "vocational school in a box" for equipment operator training. We handle all of the details, from the needs analysis and design to site selection, curriculum development and admissions. We draw upon the training materials produced by our parent company, VISTA Training. We also consult on conducting business-to-business arrangements to facilitate continuing education and certification of existing heavy equipment professionals.
Kosovo is the most recent example of our expertise at setting up and running vocational training schools around the world. Selected in 2010 by USAID to train heavy equipment operators in this Balkan country, in 2011 HeviCert implemented a turn-key heavy equipment operator training program at the Kosovo Electric Cooperative (KEK) training facility in Obliqe.
HeviCert certification services
It's one thing to claim to be a professional heavy equipment operator, crane operator, truck driver, civil project foreman, or mechanic; but quite another to have trustworthy, recognized credentials to prove it in many parts of the world. As members of ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and supporters of ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and EU (European Union) specifications; the quality of our testing protocol is paramount. HeviCert certification tests represent much more than a plastic card or a paper certificate.
Our specialty is to arrange for and, if necessary, design rigorous tests using ANSI, ISO and EU standards to evaluate the skill level of individuals in each of these professions. We are allied with, and promote the use of NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) for the recognized industry standard in the certification of crane operators. We can also offer certification of heavy equipment operators, construction truck drivers, redi-mix concrete truck drivers, civil project foreman/supervisor and heavy equipment mechanics.
The certification process is usually set up to be handled by a school, trade association or government entity, but it can also be set up within a company as long as the facilities and staff meet the strict requirements called for in order to be an approved training unit.
In many parts of the world where there is no CDL (Commercial Truck Driver License) we can fulfill the requirements for this as well.
